“Consultation” on Nethermayne Site (Dry Street Pastures)

Can we urge those who support the GAG campaign to oppose the desecration of the Dry Street Pastures to visit the “consultation” events to be held next week. They are on:

Thursday 14 June 4 pm – 8 pm and Saturday 16 June 10 am – 2 pm, both at Woodlands School.

This may well be the last opportunity for the public to have any sort of say before a development proposal is submitted to Basildon Council.

Beyond the central issue of building on land that is a recognised “Local Wildlife Site”, a UK BAP (Biodiversity Action Plan) site and an integral part of the Langdon Living Landscape, launched in April, there are huge ramifications for infrastructure, particularly road infrastructure, education (‘at least’ 850 family houses are likely to produce ‘at least’ 850 offpring !), medical facilities and access.
