Market Planning application to be heard again tomorrow!

The plan to move the market to St. Martin’s Square is going before the planning committee again tomorrow evening, the 22nd April at 7pm in the St Georges Suite at the Basildon Centre. The timing of this event is questionable politically. It is also very soon after the previous presentation on 25th February which was turned down on a number of points including obscuring viewpoints and materials used for the permanent stalls. There has been a very small reduction in the number of stalls to allow a glimpse of the church and bell tower and toilet provision next to Party Fiesta (Do they know?).
Do go along if you can as the relocation of the market is a key part of the plan to relocate the college to the existing market place. The sale of land by the college at Nethermayne to developers will fund the project and allow the development we are fighting at Nethermayne across Dry Street pastures to go ahead.
