225 individual letters of opposition to council backed plans by the Homes and Communities Agency and South Essex College to DEMOLISH the Longwood Equestrian Centre as part of the plans to develop the Nethermayne Site were handed in to Basildon Council today by riders from the centre.

A GAG spokesman said: “This is an amazing number of individual of letters and really shows the strength of feeling felt by those value the centre. I’m sure there will be many more from all sections of the community who see the whole development as unnecessary and unwanted on a variety of grounds.”
