Supporters of the Green Action Group (GAG2011) have collected almost 1400 signatures on a petition opposing the principle of developing the Dry Street site (now called the Nethermayne Site). Cllr Geoff Williams, who has been a supporter of GAG since it was formed, said: “GAG has received enormous support from visitors to the open spaces in Langdon Hills, people from all over South Essex and further afield who treasure the area and the richness and variety of the landscape. We have not found anyone who is actually in favour of developing the site !”
