Urgent Appeal for Funds

Over 100 local residents attended a GAG public meeting today at Lee Chapel South Community Hall. After hearing the latest details of GAG’s legal case and the annual accounts, supporters voted to continue the fight. GAG urgently needs donations to take the case to an appeal hearing as this will be costly. Permission for a judicial review on the Nethermayne /Dry St development has been refused but GAG have been granted leave to appeal against the decision. Please support us. We have one week to try to raise the necessary funds. Thank you for your support.

Garden Party

Well, the garden and house are more or less back normal. Not sure about the fish. Although I have put their plants back. We were so lucky that the rain keep off for the afternoon. We had a boat race and music all afternoon. Children drew pictures and threw water bombs. everyone ate cake and had plenty to drink. Lovely afternoon. Thanks to everyone who managed to come.

The total raised was £308 towards the fund…

Enjoyed it so much might have another next month. Anyone up for that?

Table Sale update

Well, that was an experience. What a mad few hours. Everything in, everything displayed. loads of bits sold, tea and cakes eaten and everything out again!

We made an amazing £500 for the funds. Thanks to all who attended.

As there is quite a lot of things left, we will be selling at a boot sale this weekend.

There are some items of higher value which we will try to sell at other outlets.

I am sure we will be able to add quite a bit to the funds in this way. Will keep you all informed.

Thanks to the Castle Mayne Pub for letting us invade their space.

Table Sale this Sunday at The Castlemayne Pub

We have had some amazing donations for the Table Top Sale on Sunday 6th July. We have ‘nearly’ antiques, nearly new and new clothing, toys, books, plants, crafts, homemade cakes and jam, refreshments, raffle, tom bola and as always lots of community spirit.

Well everyone, our Table Sale is up and running. Thanks to all whose who have donated. There are lots of lovely things for sale. Never know what you might find.

Stalls will include, plants, clothes, books and CD’s new and nearly new items.

There will be home made cakes and refreshments,Games and a raffle.

Come along, meet the neighbours, bring your friends, have a cup of tea and a natter about the latest news.

Walk in the Woods.

Walk in the Woods. 7th,8th June. 2014
What a lovely weekend we have had. Two perfect evenings at Westerly Heights Park with the Rangers.
Nick took us on an interesting stroll through the woods, with loads of stops for information.
Then back to the camp site for supper,music and entertainment.
Many thanks to the Rangers and especially to Nicole for organising it all.
We made a grand total of £452 towards the fighting fund.
Thanks to everyone who managed to come. Hope you enjoyed it.

6th JULY TABLE SALE

Hi all, Kelly at the Castle Mayne has kindly offer us the back events room to hold a table sale.. We are looking for donations of new/ nearly new and still useful goods. I can store things and helpers are ready to sort them out. Please have a look through your loft and garages to see what you might have that we can sell.

We also need a few helpers and anyone who can put up a poster anywhere will be helpful.. We need loads of advertising, to make loads of money while saving loads of stuff from the landfill. Have you a work place you can advertise?

We are still fighting our corner and we need to let as many people know as possible.People are still kindly donating and giving support but we have to keep it out there.

The meeting on 13th May

I just want to thank everyone who attended the meeting and gave us loads of good feed back regarding the events we organise.

I do sometimes wonder if you all get fed up with my face at your door or on your facebook page.

Thanks to all who were able to donate on the night or who offered to talk to me later when we need more funds for the next big legal push.

There was a total of £950 collected.
